Those interested in Crystal's Woodland Restoration Project are welcome to join Recreation Director John Elholm and project Organizer Rachel Braaten on Friday, April 7 at 1 p.m. for a walk-though of Hagemeister Pond Nature Area to discuss woodland restoration plans, grants and funding for 2025.
From May through July, the Woodland Restoration Project group meets at the Hagemeister Pond gazebo on Thursdays, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. to spread seeds; plant bulbs, seedlings and trees; and remove invasive species like buckthorn and garlic mustard in the oak savanna remnant area.
