City of Crystal Declares Snow Parking Restrictions
The City of Crystal will enact snow parking restrictions
beginning Thursday, Feb. 19 at 12:01 a.m. These restrictions help ensure safe,
efficient snow removal during and after winter storms.
When Crystal receives a snowfall of 1½ inches or more,
parking is prohibited on all public streets and alleys. The restriction remains
in place until snowfall has stopped, and the street or alley has been plowed
edge to edge. Vehicles parked on public streets or alleys during this time may
be tagged or towed at the owner’s expense. Remember, on-street parking is
prohibited year-round between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m.
If garbage or recycling containers need to be placed out
during snow operations, ensure they are set at least three feet back from the
curb to avoid interference with plowing.
Snow parking restrictions and snow emergency notices are
shared on the City of Crystal’s website, social media channels (Facebook,
Twitter and Nextdoor), Smart911, local radio and television outlets, and CCX
Media.
