Habitate Restoration Project GraphicOur group is dedicated to restoring native habitat and building resilient ecosystems in Crystal. When you attend, you’ll learn about the native habitat of our region and how to become an effective steward of it.

The program runs weekly on Thursdays, May–July, 6:30–8 p.m.

The program begins Thursday, May 7, with a focus on the basics of a healthy oak savanna ecosystem, along with hands-on experience removing creeping charlie, clipping buckthorn branches, and planting wild strawberries.

Participants are welcome to bring clippers or loppers for buckthorn removal, or a trowel for planting—though tools will also be provided on-site.

Please wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and long sleeves. Gloves and eye protection are recommended (and will also be available from the host).

Youth ages 12+ are welcome when accompanied by an adult.
