2026 City Street and Utility Project Newsletter - July 2

This past week, the contractor continued replacing the existing roadbed, which includes the rock, sand, and clay directly beneath the road, with new materials. They also replaced the drain tiles and sump boxes. Rain during the week has slightly slowed the progress of the crews. This work is scheduled to be completed next week.
Following the roadbed replacement, the contractor will install new curbs and gutters along the road, starting the week of July 6.
Once the new curbs and gutters are in place, vehicles will not be allowed to drive on them for five days to allow the concrete to cure. During this curing period, access to driveways will be unavailable, so please plan to park your vehicles outside the project limits until the concrete is safe to drive over.
