The final layer of paving is now scheduled for Saturday,
Sept. 26, weather permitting. Crews will begin work at 8 a.m. Please do not
park your vehicles on the street on that day, and if you need to leave before 8
a.m., consider parking outside of the project limits. The contractor sprays a
sticky oil on the roads before placing the final layer of pavement to ensure a
strong bond between the layers. This oil can stick to your tires and track onto
your driveway if you drive on it. Once the pavement is placed, you can drive on
it within 30 minutes. Please avoid watering your lawn on Friday evening and
Saturday to help us prevent water from tracking onto the road.
